First Visit
Starting Off Right
At North Seattle Dental, our ultimate objective is to help you experience a lifetime of excellent dental health and make dental health an attainable and approachable part of your lifestyle.
Our approach: Comprehensive care looks at your entire mouth and face as one, and at your dental health as an essential part of your being. Through a 3-step process, we investigate how any existing dental problems were caused and customize your treatment plan to help prevent any problems from advancing or recurring.
- Step One: Initial One-hour Appointment
In your first one-hour meeting with us, we want to know how you feel about your teeth, your smile and dental care. We can discuss your concerns about treatments, pain, cost, and answer any questions you may have about our practice and our philosophy.
Digital Photos and X-rays-We will take a full series of x-rays and digital photographs of your teeth when you first come to visit us. A full-set of X-rays is taken every five years and bite-wings once a year.

Comprehensive Exam-We will examine your teeth, complete a head and neck cancer screen, and complete a full analysis of your gum tissue and supporting bone. At the end of this appointment, you will be scheduled to return for a consultation with the doctor.
- Step Two: Your Treatment Plan
The doctor will examine your X-rays and the summary of findings from your comprehensive exam and interview. From this data, the doctor creates a treatment plan customized to your needs.
- Step Three: Your Consultation
Shortly after your initial visit, we will review the results of your exam, share images of your teeth, review your treatment plan together, discuss any questions, concerns, or fears, and agree to a plan designed for your optimum health and comfort.
